RAFT
A state-funded program currently open to FAMILIES ONLY (must have a person under age 21 in the household). (Please note: Open to FAMILIES ONLY as of July 2017; check with WATCH staff to see if it has opened to individuals).

If WATCH staff determines that you might be eligible, they can help you to make an appointment with the RAFT coordinator, who sees clients at WATCH every other Tuesday.  Or you can call 617-425-6700 and ask to be screened over the phone for RAFT, and ask to make an appointment at the Metro Boston Housing Partnership, 125 Lincoln St, 5th floor, Boston (near South Station).

Description: “Short-term financial assistance to familes who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Eligible uses include rent and utility arrears, as well as costs associated with obtaining a new apartment, such as first and last month’s rent and security deposits, utility startup costs, and furniture.

WATCH advocates can refer you to RAFT if you are eligible. For help, come to the tenant clinic.
