Massachusetts RMV (as of 3/21/20)
The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles has extended deadlines for vehicle inspections, commercial licenses, and permits.
City of Waltham (as of 3/13/20)
We are asking the public to transact any city business by email, phone, or electronically for payment of bills and not come into any City building unless absolutely necessary.
All Waltham Public Schools will be closed through April 6th, Waltham City Hall will be closed to the public starting March 16th.

3/16/20 City Council Committee & School Committee meetings cancelled. City Council will meet 3/23/20. Public can view the meeting online at WCAC.

Waltham Public Library (as of 3/13/20)
Closed as of March 13th until further notice. We are in the process of extending Library materials currently checked out so they are not due back until May 1. No need to do anything. Fines will be waived when we reopen.
Waltham Council on Aging (as of 3/11/20)
All activities and classes at the Waltham Senior Center are CANCELLED as of 3/11/20, and the Senior Center will be CLOSED from Thursday, March 19th through April 30th, 2020.
The Council on Aging continues to field calls from seniors remotely. They have also been contacting the most frail and isolated seniors who have limited support systems, and encourage residents to check in with their elderly neighbors. If you are a senior and unable to meet your needs, please call the senior center at 781-314-3499.
They are able to deliver frozen meals to those with no other resources. For seniors who miss the fitness classes, the Council has delivered DVD's of some classes to WCAC, the local cable station!
Waltham Recreation Department (as of 3/13/20)
Waltham Recreation Programs, including Spring Registration will be suspended March 13, 2020 until further notice.

Family Access Community Connections (as of 3/13/20)
Learn and Play groups at the Library and Boys & Girls Club are cancelled, and will follow the lead of those organizations in terms of starting up again.

The Community Day Center 3/16/20
Case managers are available by phone from 12:30-4:30 pm on weekdays to help people who are experiencing homelessness. They are able to help identify resources, problem-solve, access hygiene items and clothing, and provide referrals for medical care. Case management appointments can be made for housing, health insurance, food stamps, and assistance with resumes and job applications.

All MBTA services will run on a reduced schedule in the interest of the health and safety of riders and employees. Passengers are also being asked to board back doors, to protect drivers.
