English Classes

Juan_Isai_CarlosWATCH's Community English program offers English classes for beginner, intermediate, and advanced level adult English learners. The curriculum is built on the needs and goals of the learners and centers on real-life English communication. Themes generally include communication for work, health, and family. The program partners with other local organizations to provide life skills education on topics such as financial literacy, labor rights, and immigrant rights.

Class sessions have options for Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday, 10AM-12PM or 6PM-8:30PM and are held year round. Sessions cost $60, but there is a hardship waiver in place to ensure that anyone who cannot afford it may take classes for free.

Due to the great need for adult education in Waltham, these classes have a long waiting list.  WATCH is expanding our classes to address this need by recruiting volunteers to teach some classes.

English classes are starting soon and we need your help to support our local immigrant community by teaching English to individual adult students or in group classes alongside other volunteer teachers. If interested please attend ONE information session on:

Thursday, September 17, 5:30-6:30pm

Friday, September 25, 5:30-6:30pm

Saturday, September 26, 4:30-5:30pm
