In 2019, Giselle, her husband, and her son, moved to Waltham from their hometown in Florida. During the pandemic in 2020, Giselle was in search of rental assistance programs and came across WATCH CDC. Giselle and her family decided to move back to Florida in 2022 but she could not forget about her experience with WATCH and wanted to give back to the Waltham community. She began interning at WATCH’s Housing Clinic. During her internship, she learned in depth about rental assistance, housing laws, and other ways to help out in the community. Since her internship, she now works as a Transitional Housing Program Case Manager and Service Coordinator at the Brookline Center for Mental Health. When she’s not working she likes to listen to music, do yoga and pilates, and spend time with her son outdoors.
