Rental Assistance/ Ayuda al alquiler

You can still apply for rental assistance!
There are two rental assistance options available: the State, and WATCH CDC.
State Rental Assistance Programs:
1a) For households whose income has been affected by the pandemic (either directly or indirectly): ERAP- Emergency Rental Assistance Program
1b) For households whose income has not been affected by the pandemic but who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless: RAFT - Residential Assistance for Families in Transition

2) WATCH Tenant Assistance Fund
Due to generous donations, state funding, a grant from the Foundation for Metrowest and Newton Wellesley Hospital, WATCH is able to help tenants who are not eligible for state assistance.
Eligibility: For Waltham tenants with income loss due to COVID pandemic who are not eligible for RAFT or ERAP and who are behind on their rent or utilities.
- Grant is given directly to the tenant to pay rent and is not considered taxable income.
- Immigration status is not considered in this grant.

- La subvención se da directamente al inquilino para pagar el alquiler y no se considera un ingreso imponible.
- El estado de inmigración no se tiene en cuenta en esta subvención.
