Happy New Year to WATCH members and donors and the Waltham Community!
As we end 2024, we wanted to share A few highlights of impact from this year:
602 Waltham Households assisted with housing, job or basic needs, 362 coming to WATCH for the first time
98 Households received a grant from WATCH for rent or utilities, emergency housing and back to work grants
135 Applications were submitted for state and other agency rental assistance by WATCH case managers
284 Tenants counseled on tenants rights and eviction prevention
112 Households avoided eviction due to WATCH’s case management support
195 Waltham Households given information on food resources
70 Households got food stamps
45 Families got critical household items such as furniture
65 Households got legal help after a referral from WATCH to legal aid agencies
156 Tenants received mental health resources or referral
143 Clients let us know that they had reduced anxiety about their housing situation
346 Households received job and financial management support
152 Waltham residents attended one of our job and financial management workshops
180 Adults participated in our ESL classes
