The City of Waltham, Department of Conservation and Recreation, Mass State Police, and Mayor Jeannette A. McCarthy are pleased to announce this year’s Independence Day Celebrations!

Sunday, June 29th, 2025:
Fireworks will be set off from a barge set up in the Charles River near Moody Street Bridge! Fireworks will begin at dusk on Sunday, June 29th. The Moody Street Bridge (139 Moody Street at the Riverwalk to Moody/Pine Streets) will be closed to vehicular traffic and open to pedestrian traffic only starting at 4PM on Sunday, June 29th.

Friday, July 4th, 2025:
The Waltham Recreation Department is hosting a free July 4th Family Celebration at Prospect Hill Park from 10am-2pm, featuring food vendors, music, inflatables, patriotic crafts & games, amusements, and more! Please note: Prospect Hill Park's vehicle access road will be CLOSED on July 4th. Trolley shuttles will be available from 9:30am-2:30pm and will run from 295 Totten Pond  Road to 10 City Point, where additional parking will be available.

If you’ve watched them and wondered what it would be like to be a contestant on a “LIVE” Game Show. Well, now you’ll have the chance. Join us as your host Kevin Richman will present Family Feud and Wheel of Fortune here at the Waltham COA. You’ll play as teams so everyone will get the opportunity to participate.
